Cisco Technical Architect – Berkshire – to £60k + bonus
My client is a well-regarded reseller of technology solutions based in Berkshire, offering highly specialised customer-centric IT solutions. They have an excellent opening for a Technical Architect to join their team, with a focus on Cisco technology. This person will act as technical lead in designing and implementing solutions, providing both pre sales design consultancy and acting as a technical point of consultancy.
The successful technical architect will have ideally passed the Cisco CCIE routing and switching exam and will have substantial experience of designing Cisco network solutions at a high level. You will have a solid background in networking with exposure to the following protocols/ technologies: MPLS, Frame Relay, BGP, Ethernet, EIGRP, ISDN, DHCP etc
We are particularly looking for someone who has experience of Wan acceleration/ optimization – eg, Juniper WX / WXC, Packeteer, Ipanema, Cisco WAAS
The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, capable of presenting at a high level and acting as the point of escalation for technical matters arising within project delivery. You will be customer focussed with a keen eye for detail and excellent Cisco product knowledge. You should be CCIE accredited and will have commercial experience of designing solutions at CCIE level.
An excellent base salary is on offer of up to £60k base + car allowance. There is also a bonus structure in place and good company benefits.
You will be based from Berkshire but must be flexible to travel as required with some occasional overseas work.
