Our client, a well established Cisco Gold Partner and reseller of specialisations in VPN Security, IP Communications, Wireless Networking and Network Management, is looking for their next top performing IP Telephony Pre-Sales Consultant.
THE PERSON
The ideal candidate will have proven experience in designing large-scale complex unified communications environments within an existing networking integration partner, preferably a Cisco Gold / Silver Partner. The candidate should be an IPT specialist with excellent skills in:
- Communicating business benefits / technical functionality of converged solutions
- Voice fundamentals, signalling
- Unified Communications server, CCME
- Unity and Unity Express
- IPCC Express (essential) IPCC Enterprise (desirable)
- Mobility applications
- Associated infrastructure required for converged infrastructures
THE ROLE
This role is predominately (80%) external facing. This will incorporate the following:
- Assisting the external sales teams
- Identifying and creating new business opportunities
- Capture from target clients their technology, consultancy and service requirements.
- Architect technology strategies and solutions for target clients.
- Develop detailed ‘scopes of work’ to document new consultancy work
- Develop a rolling quarterly client update programme
The remaining 20% of your time will involve:
- Providing technical support for the internal and external sales teams
- Co-ordinate Bid Review and technical authority throughout the bid process
- Handover of projects to PMO and delivery teams
- Provide market intelligence
- Ratify sales quotes
- Identify professional services requirements and costs.
KEY SKILL REQUIREMENTS
This role is a senior level position and requires the candidate to:
- Ideally be CCDP / CCVP accredited
- Have over 3 years experience in pre-sales for systems integrators, networking or software manufacturers or service providers. A person with a similar level of experience in a professional services environment would also be considered.
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Have an in-depth knowledge of the Cisco Unified Communications product portfolio along with expertise in general networking campus & WAN technologies.
