Fantastic new opportunity to join a leading IT consultancy based in Staffordshire, my client is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide remote, telephone and onsite support for a client base in the local area. This will be a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with commercial experience working within a hands on IT technical support role. You shall be working within a very diverse technical environment, and as such candidates can expect to learn many new skills and gain exposure to a lot of technologies. Any candidates with aspirations to gain skills and learn how to work on servers will find this an excellent opportunity to progress your career. Knowledge of the following would be extremely advantageous: Windows 2000/ XP, hardware installation and maintenance, office applications, email and internet clients and configuration, configuration of routers (particularly ADSL), active directory, TCP/ IP and firewalls.
Ideally candidates will hold a full clean driving license as this position will allow you the opportunity to work on client sites.
