My Central Government client requires an experienced Release Manager who is ideally SC Cleared and has a vast range of experience within the Public Sector.
Key Skills:
The successful candidate will have the following attributes :
• Significant experience of Project Management in an enterprise class (in excess of £10 million) outsourced IT delivery environment
• Experience of formal development management methodologies, (exposure to RUP would be an advantage).
• Experience of integrated systems delivery in a multi-supplier environment
• Experience of ITIL release management processes would be an advantage.
• PRINCE2 Practitioner is essential with proven experience in managing outsourced supplier projects.
• Familiarity with MSP is mandatory
• Fully conversant with and able to demonstrate planning using MS Project is mandatory
• Influential communicator
• Ability to deal with all levels of stakeholders, potentially including Senior Civil Servants.
• Ability to work in a pressured time critical environment
• Must be available for an immediate start.
The Release Manager is responsible for: the following activities
1. The delivery of a number of IT work streams within the programme
2. The development of a release level plans, , budgets and expenditure;
3. Execution of the Release Plan using Authority and Contractor resource.
4. Ensuring the delivery of the release in line with the stated delivery plan, architectural frameworks, technical and development standards, transition specifications and all other quality processes.
5. Arrange and attend regular meetings with the key delivery partners in the release to ensure the end to end delivery of the release.
6. Production and monitoring of the release's "Critical Path";
7. Ensuring the management of the Programmes dependencies and issues.
8. Production of Management Reports
9. Monitoring of the key milestones and liaison with all relevant parties to ensure key products and artefacts are produced and reported on.
