The Role:
Our client is a leading construction contractor that works on a broad portfolio of projects. They seek an Intermediate Planner with previous tender experience. This role will incorporate both tender planning and contract planning on a range of projects.The role will be based in their Hertfordshire office.
The Company:
This client is a dynamic national contractor with a UK wide network of regional offices. As previously mentioned, they have a diverse portfolio of projects that includes schools, commercial buildings, hospitals, leisure and retail to name just a few. Type of work carried out includes refurbishment, traditional contracting, new build and design and build. Typically projects range from £5mn to £40mn.
The company has a turnover in excess of £330mn per annum. This is growing extensively year on year.
They have a reputation with their clients for maintaining good business relationships and providing high levels of customer service. The client is also known for showing outstanding levels of passion and commitment to delivering prestigious building projects on time and within budget. There is training provided throughout all stages of your development, career progression is of the utmost importance. This role is based in Hertfordshire.
Essential skills:
-The ideal candidate will have spent a minimum of 3 years working as a planner within the construction sector
-You will have worked on construction projects of a similar nature to the work the client carries out
-You must be proficient in the use of planning software, i.e Powerproject, Primavera etc.
-Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be communicating with other Senior Planners and planning staff internally, and both clients and other contractors externally
