Unix / Linux Storage Systems Administrator - London, Solaris, Linux, Netapp / HDS / Sun, SAN, NAS, Kickstart, Jumpstart, VxVM, Cluster Server, XEN. My client is Europe's biggest Ecommerce site, and the World's biggest transactional hubs, with more daily transactions going through their highly complex systems than Ebay, Lastminute and Amazon combined, even eclipsing the NYSE, LSE and any financial institution for the number of "deals" that pass through their systems. They have become world renowned for their technical expertise and have employed world class Engineers to all areas of their technology function. They currently require a highly competent Unix / Linux Storage Engineer to join and ensure the ongoing support, upgrading and modernisation of their global production, application and infrastructure arena. To be considered for this role you should have spent the majority of your recent career in highly complex technology arenas in a similar role, Technology experience should include; Unix Shell Scripting, the ability to build on and use Open Source tools, Systems Admin experience gained on RedHat Linux and Solaris, performance & tuning of RedHat and Solaris, KickStart and Jumpstart, Veritas Cluster Server and Veritas Volume Manager (VxCS, VxVM), SAN storage (ideally HDS 99XX & Brocade), NetApp filers (or other NFS) & virtualisation (ideally Xen). Any exposure to Veritas File System (VxFS), Veritas Netbackup (VxNB) would be a benefit.
