This integrated support services company are looking to recruit a CDM Co-ordinator/ experienced CDM Co-ordinator to work within their Health and Safety team in Birmingham offering support for the central region specifically within the Highways division. Founded nearly a hundred years ago and now one of the UK's leading support service companies, this organisation work with Clients in both the public and private sector within the aviation, defence, central government, education, local government, rail and strategic highways markets.
<b><u>The role of CDM Co-ordinator</ b></ u>
The successful CDM Co-ordinator will be providing CDM delivery and all aspects of CDM Co-ordination including Client support, design operational and project management support in the Birmingham office. The CDM Co-ordinator will deliver a dual role of project support and CDM Co-ordination for both notifiable and non notifiable schemes. You will be required to deliver according to local CDM systems that integrate into the local health safety environmental and management systems.
As CDM Co-ordinator for this Birmingham role you will be responsible for delivering the CDM services internally and externally including preconstruction information F10 notification and development of Health & Safety files. In addition to this you will be working with engineers and managers to improve communication, cooperation and communication in compliance with CDM regulations.
<b><u>Who they are looking for?</ b></ u>
As an experienced CDM Co-ordinator you will currently hold membership of the health and safety register administered by the ICE, APS or ICS and you will also have sufficient technical or managerial experience in Engineering and Design for projects including highways, structures, buildings etc. Managing Agent Contract, Highways and Structures either in the Midlands or elsewhere in the UK experience would be a distinct advantage as would experience & knowledge of Integrated Management Systems ISO9001; ISO14001; ISO18001 including auditing experience.
You will be a clear and excellent communicator with good report writing and presentation skills, attention to detail, a confident and professional manner and a high expectation of performance for themselves and other members of the Birmingham/ Midlands team.
