This integrated support services company are looking to recruit an Assistant CDM Co-ordinator/ Graduate CDM Co-ordinator to work within their Health and Safety team in Birmingham offering support for the central region specifically within the Highways division. Founded nearly a hundred years ago and now one of the UK's leading support service companies, this organisation work with Clients in both the public and private sector within the aviation, defence, central government, education, local government, rail and strategic highways markets.
<b><u>The Role of Assistant CDM Co-ordinator</ b></ u>
Ideally, you will be a graduate engineer or a strong background in engineering and be looking to make the move into Health and Safety with the role of Assistant CDM Co-ordinator in the Birmingham area. With a keen interest in Health and Safety, the Assistant CDM Co-ordinator will have responsibility to support in the delivery and administration of CDM Co-ordination and Health and Safety consultancy services within the contract being worked on.
As the ideal Assistant CDM Co-ordinator for Birmingham, you will be working towards the role of fully qualified CDM Co-ordinator and you will be working towards incorporated status and membership of the APS or an equivalent body.
In addition to supporting the CDM Co-ordinator you will be required to assist and support design, operational and management teams in the Birmingham/ Midlands area.
A background in engineering is a distinct advantage for this role as Assistant CDM Co-ordinator – ideally you will have an HND, degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering/ construction related discipline. Membership of a relevant construction institution would also be preferable such as ICE, IStructE or IHT. You will also be working towards membership of health and safety register administered by the ICE; Association for Project Safety; or Institution of Construction Safety.
As the perfect Assistant CDM Co-ordinator you will have sufficient technical experience in engineering and design for projects including highways structures buildings etc. along with sufficient appropriate CDM Experience and training or willingness to train as a CDM Coordinator.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer or engineering graduate in the Birmingham/ Midlands area who is looking to make the move into Health and Safety and is serious about training as a CDM Co-ordinator.
