My prestigious Wetherby based client requires a talented IT Systems Manager to join their expanding organisation.
The successful candidate will hold a current VCP with strong commercial experience designing and implementing VMWare ESX 3.x solutions, to include the following: experience producing Windows Server templates for deployment in a virtual infrastructure; experience implementing VMWare VirtualCentre; experience with DRS, HA and VMotion and commercial familiarity with basic SAN configurations and the optimisation of storage for virtual machines.
Any commercial experience with VMWare P2V process and analysing Capacity Planner reports, producing appropriate documentation and recommendations would be highly desirable. Experience with patching VMWare virtual infrastructures and any knowledge of Update Manager and experience with other virtualisation technologies, for example Hyper-V and Citrix XenServer would also be extremely advantageous.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation and configuration of application software, whilst providing basic customer training at user and administration level. In addition to the afore-mentioned you will attend customer sites for meetings to discuss and investigate their requirements, ensuring all relevant areas are explored.
