You will be responsible for leading and managing the configuration management function on site to ensure that projects receive the guidance and support needed for all configuration management and data management activities.
Key Responsibilities
·Ensure team size and capability mix is optimised for successful delivery of all work packages
·Personally coach and mentor other engineers within team.
·Supervision of configuration team.
·Manage the planning, allocation and deployment of team members according to workload.
·Represent the site at the group forum for Strategic Aims, Initiatives and Goals.
·Trouble shooting problems and provide config technical guidance
·Estimating, planning, task definition, cost and timescales
·To conduct regular performance reviews and to recruit and develop staff
Key Skills and Experience
·Detailed understanding of Config Management processes
·Extensive experience of work package management methods
·Experience of managing people and budgets at departmental level
·DEF STAN 05-57 and ANSI EIA 649
·Interpretation of customer CM requirements
·Metaphase / Teamcenter
