This highly ambitious International Contractor are currently one of the UK's largest construction companies and they are currently looking for Regional Health and Safety Manager/ Senior Health and Safety Advisor to join their highly experienced Health and Safety team in South East London.
Holding Health and Safety as a primary business value, this International Contractor are committed to meeting, and wherever possible, enhancing all Health and Safety requirements and to improving the reputation of construction industry worldwide. Reporting to the London Regional Business Unit Leader the suitable Regional Health and Safety Manager will be based in London offering support throughout the South East but primarily London and will be responsible for promoting compliance and excellence in SHE matters.
<b>The Role</ b>
As the ideal Regional Health and Safety Manager for this International contractor you will be coaching and supporting project leaders and will be responsible for developing their leadership and management behaviour with a focus on Health, Safety and Environment. Part of this role for the Health and Safety Manager will be to identify Health, Safety and Environment training needs and monitor the training provision to ensure the business unit's needs are being met.
Other responsibilities for the Regional Health and Safety Manager in the London area include ensuring the implementation of company systems and procedures within the business unit group and also demonstrating compliance to the Business unit leaders by being responsible for the undertaking of SMS audits.
<b>The Regional Health and Safety Manager</ b>
It is essential that the successful Health and Safety Manager has excellent M&E, health, safety and environment knowledge.
To be suitable for this London based role you will have strong analytical skills and the ability to identify any problems beyond the surface and create the necessary plan and strategy to deal with such problems.
In addition you will have excellent communication skills with clients and colleagues of all levels and will have the ability to work with a number of teams whilst building rapport and credibility and you will be based within easy access to South East London/ Kent.
You will be qualified to a minimum of NEBOSH General certificate and any experience or recognised qualifications with regard to environmental management would be a distinct advantage
<b>In return?</ b>
The successful candidate for this International Contractor can expect to receive a salary of £32,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience plus an excellent benefits package.
