Senior Network Engineer – CCNP, Routers, Switches, MPLS, Central London 50k
Mt client are recognised as leaders within the Cisco network arena is currently recruiting for a Senior Network Engineer to be based in Central London.
You will be working in a 3rd line support role in some of the most complex and advanced infrastructures in the UK, with exposure to leading edge technologies within the networking space. You will take a step back from day-today issues and look at long term improvements to the network, implementing improvements, changes and upgrades where possible. You will also act as a technical focal point within the team, delivering in a very technical environment incorporating MPLS routing, Campus Switching, Firewalls / Security, QoS (including VoIP), 10Gb Ethernet, multicast, content networking (inc ACE Modules and Caching) and IPSec VPN's.
To be considered you should be CCNP/ CCIP qualified (or have the equivalent expertise) and possess a relevant degree (or experience equivalence). You will have solid background and experience in supporting high performance, enterprise class network infrastructures. Good working knowledge of Cisco IOS and Hardware (including 6500s), TCP/ IP Routing (OSPF, EIGRP & BGP), LAN/ WAN technologies, Firewalls and Content Delivery. Working knowledge of Server-based technologies such as Microsoft OS's and UNIX would also be advantageous.
