Data Storage Analyst - Nottingham, East Midlands. Leading IT services You will be responsible for - efficient use of Storage while ensuring that agreed customer storage capacity requirements are delivered, ensuring customer data is retained as agreed with customer and not deleted until agreed release data, ensuring disk data is backed up to the required customer specification, ensuring data integrity is maintained across multiple customers on shared Storage Hardware, maintaining Disaster Recovery, backup and restore processes, and documentation, defining SAN configurations, Storage allocations on Storage Sub Systems, ensuring data integrity, for all domains attached to a SAN, ensuring Software/ Firmware compatibility for all SAN attached components and co-ordinate any upgrades implementing centralised backup environments on each SAN , managing backup environments, to ensure data is backed up to customer requirements. Knowledge of various Hitachi, HP, Quantum and Computer Associates tape storage technologies would be advantageous, as would SAN Swithces, Netbackup and EMC products such as Replistor and Legato.
