IT Systems Analyst - Banking
To run and support the various computer operations and systems of the bank on a daily basis.
Job Description
To provide a combined service desk, 1st and 2nd line support function within the bank s IT department, maintaining a sizeable number of applications and systems. Emphasis is on the troubleshooting and fault resolution of the banking applications, in addition to daily operational duties. You will be expected to perform user desktop support, server management and reports development.

The opportunity is for a 1st / 2nd line support person with minimum of 3 years support experience, preferably from a banking applications support or operations background in a Windows environment. The successful candidate will get the opportunity to work in a very diverse IT environment and to gain comprehensive banking application knowledge. The position would suit somebody who not only wants to further their banking systems knowledge but who also enjoys the challenge of working in operations, end-user support, systems and network administration. Training will be offered and given as required.

Main Responsibilities:

Carry out day to day maintenance, administration and support on all computer systems as per the daily procedure.
Carry out 1st / 2nd line support functions on banking applications, systems and printers.
To provide support to users on all the banks IT systems.
Ensure timely backup of all computer systems and network data.
Ensure the correct rotation of backup media and media is taken off site for safe custody.
Ensure the end/ start of day processing procedures is carried out correctly.
Ensure support calls are logged, updated and followed through to resolution.
Take ownership of issues and liaise with 3 rd parties to resolution.
Carry out upgrades/ system changes as required.
Familiarise themselves with the network and all applications and fully understand the interfaces and interdependencies therein.
Be involved in IT related projects as required.
