Required for this leading Defence organisation based in Cheshire.
The role is to provide commercial support to all activities primarily associated with managing and discharging of contracted obligation under the MASS framework within the Land Systems Munitions (LSM) Light Munitions business in South Wales. Management and control of the enquiry and bid process within the scope of LSM Operations for internal, UK and export opportunities. To ensure adherence to corporate governance and commercial policy.
Key responsibility areas:
To provide the primary point of contact between the business and the customer commercial organisation. Management of contract activities ensuring swift and effective resolution of issues. Ensure engagement within the LCM process providing commercial plans and support at all appropriate stages within the product lifecycle. Preparation of bids in response to customer enquiries ensuring a rigorous commercial approach to pricing, terms and conditions are maintained in line with company policy. Identify opportunities and risk presented within the contracted obligation. Ensure the contracted obligation is clearly disseminated through the SAP business process with all the relevant parts of the business fully engaged. Understanding of internal and external stakeholder needs through participation and close team work with relevant product management and customer representatives. Liaison with the Land Systems Shared Service Centre to ensure all export documentation is available when required (End User Certificates, Export Licences, Letters of Credit etc). Compliance with corporate governance, commercial policy and Business Management System concerning all contract and commercial activity. Drafting and review of various commercial agreements in accordance with company policy and agreement with company legal representatives.
