Type:Contract
Provide subject matter expertise and own process and procedural information across a specified Pension Scheme or Schemes. Proactively identify and debate opportunities to create the new cross-functional processes required as part of the programme to introduce a new systems platform and co-sourcing part of the operation. To understand the outputs of the role in terms of the business strategy and the overall process that will drive improved operational efficiency. Create clear documentation such as business requirements that can be met through process and systems change, and test scripts. Support the delivery of the process changes through the development and implementation of ‘to be' processes.
Identify process re-engineering opportunities to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
•Build the rationale for change and improvement by reviewing available data such as process performance MI, scheme member complaints, risk events, incidents and staff feedback and process reviews to identify current issues
•Apply knowledge of process architecture, creative thinking and analysis skills to translate current process issues into re-engineering and improvement opportunities
•Redesign processes to deliver simplified, common processes to the business that match its true requirements, and address identified issues
•Present ideas and opportunities to Design Work-stream Lead and
Conduct Programme specific process re-engineering activities (
•Facilitate dedicated business and process analysis sessions and workshops with representative groups of key business users, to identify the true business requirements and issues
•Identify the root cause of the requirements identified in the mandate.
Where appropriate, use Lean principles and the Six Sigma tools, including ‘as is' process mapping, data collection and data analysis
•Document the business requirements using a pre-defined template and format
Build process and procedural information for specific a Pension Scheme and or Schemes in line with change
•Amend process and procedural information in line with implemented change, e.g. check lists, process maps, quick reference guides etc. documenting information consistently and accurately inline with change
•Assist and liaise with Business Analysts in ACA to align process and documentation between the two companies and across all functions
Training delivery
•Support the Project Manager, working with the Training and Knowledge Manager to assess training needs and the impact of the change on existing process and procedural documentation
Assess, validate and prioritise Change Requests associated with design
•Create and/ or review change requests for completeness and sense check the impact assessment in terms of effort, time, cost and benefits. Liaise with the originator to resolve any ambiguous comments or requirements and obtain additional information as required
Support project management.
