This international engineering and construction group founded over 140 years ago currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced SHE Manager/ Intermediate SHE Manager to join their SHE team in Manchester offering regional support for the North West.
As the ideal SHE Manager you will be working on large oil and gas projects in the North West of values up to £350million reporting to the Project Manager and Regional SHE Manager and managing a team of SHE advisors.
You will be fully conversant with the role of SHE Manager and will hold the NEBOSH Construction Certificate. The suitable SHE Manager will also have 5 years relevant experience within the construction industry and will ideally have the NEBOSH Diploma qualification or the relevant diploma to ensure Chartered Membership of IOSH. It is also essential that the SHE Manager holds a current driving licence and CSCS Card.
As well as the relevant health and safety experience some knowledge of BSI 14001 and 18001 would be preferred to assist the SHE team and Site Safety, Health and environment Systems Co-ordinator to maintain this quality accreditation as required. As the ideal Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) Manager you will hold an Environmental Management diploma. Experience in contaminated land and ecology is desirable as is an Environmental Management Degree BSc or Environmental Science Degree MSc.
Ideally based around the Manchester/ North West area or within commutable distance.
