My Client, a world-leading investment management business, requires a Disaster Recovery Manager. This Position requires both strong communication and management skills. The Disaster Recovery Manager is responsible to lead and ensure the enterprise Disaster Recovery plan is developed, implemented and operational and meets application resilience requirements. This role will have dual reporting lines to Head of Business Continuity and Head of Infrastructure Governance. This individual is responsible for: assessing and mitigating enterprise risks to information systems, determining disaster recovery requirements, providing cost benefit analyses to justify investment in controls to mitigate risks, recommending strategies to meet those requirements, coordinating the development of plans and the acquisition of resources and the preparation and execution of the testing of those plans. Further requirements include: Manage ongoing communication of project and ongoing activity status with internal customers, Technology Group peers, partners in the Business, and management, develop or coordinate development of project plans, from start to completion, detailed schedules, and all other project documentation required for successful project implementation, facilitate resolution of technical issues and act as point of contact for vendor support for 3rd party hardware, software, systems, and services provided to internal customers, coordinate IT Disaster Recovery process in the event of a disaster and participate in the development of IT strategies and tactical plans to meet business requirements. The successful incumbent will have proven leadership skills, a strong knowledge of current enterprise-level disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies, advanced knowledge and experience of standard technologies like the various Microsoft server operating systems, Linux, Active Directory and Security concepts and demonstrated experience managing multiple projects on time and on budget.
