Due to recent phenomenal growth, this growing and successful UK market leader in their field is looking to increase their product development teams and as a result, fantastic permanent career opportunities have become available for highly skilled Oracle DBA / Database Administrators to take responsibility for the day to day support of the production and pre-production database environments. We want to hear from Candidates with some production Oracle DBA experience (ideally to include RAC, ASM and 10g but cross training will be provided for the lower level roles). We would also expect the successful candidates to have experience of SQL, PL/ SQL and shell scripting; Practical use and implementation of database monitoring tools, and some knowledge of backup & recovery technologies (RMAN, Dataguard, Veritas) for lower salaries and commercial experience of backup & recovery technologies for higher salaries. Great opportunity to work in exciting migrations and Data warehousing/ Business Intelligence projects – these include the migration from 10g to 11g, Merge of production database schemas, Implementation of a Dataguard solution for DR site, Architecting and implementing a Data Warehouse and Devising and Implementing DR plan. An Oracle certification such as a OCP or OCA will help secure your interview. Consequently you will need to be a self-starter with good communication skills.
