My client is a leading global technology services organisation that currently deals with the market leaders of today across a variety of sectors. They are a technology driven organisation who takes a leading edge in the IT market place by harnessing the latest advances in technology across the board. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is target driven and enjoys working within a technologically advanced site. They are currently recruiting for a number of network engineers of varying levels of ability. The urgent requirements are for a Network Engineer, a Firewall Engineer as well as the senior positions for both.
As a Network Engineer within my client's organisation you will work with some of the most talented network based engineers from across the UK. You will provide support on any incidents escalating any unresolved issues in a client-facing environment. Your primary role will be a project-focused position where you will take part in the design and installation of firewall solutions. This is an excellent opportunity to take part in complex Cisco firewall design and implementations.
The ideal candidate will be have had experience with the following
Cisco router and switch
Solid understanding of the 7 layer OSI network model
understanding of the IP protocol
understanding of routed and routing protocols
understanding of current LAN and WAN technologies
Strong Firewall experience (Checkpoint Firewall-1 and Cisco PIX or Cisco FWSM (inc Security manager)
As this is a heavily Cisco focused environment Cisco accreditations are high desirable such as CCSP, CCDP, CCNP, CCIP, CCIE. For this position we are looking for the most talented network engineers of all levels so if you feel like you have this type of skill set then apply today.
