My client is a financial data company which specialises in the collection, validation, dissemination and analysis of fund information. They are seeking a SQL Server DBA to work in their Surrey- based office. This person will eventually be taking control of all the production database servers within the organisation. They will perform the day to day administration of the production environment as required, and performance tuning of database applications and replication.

Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years experience in a DBA role with good knowledge of SQL Server 2005, as well as performance tuning and T-SQL optimisation.

Desirable skills include the following: T-SQL development experience, Experience with SSIS, MSRS, MSAS is also advantageous.

The successful SQL Server Database administrator will earn a good starting package of £30 - 40k depending on experience, plus some good benefits and excellent training.
