My client, a leading Multi National construction, property and services group require a Server Analyst for their head office in Bedfordshire.
Job Description
The Server Analyst will be focused on supporting the Server Infrastructure at local and remote sites. A solid foundation of server knowledge is essential along with the ability to diagnose errors and highlight potential issues in an effective and timely fashion. The ideal candidate will be able to perform all necessary duties pertaining to the efficient running, high availability and development of the clients server environment. Including areas such as planning for business growth, maintaining and developing standards and procedures in accordance with ISO27001. We currently run an estate of 6000 users and over 200 servers.
Requirements
Essential:
· Windows 2000/ 2003 Server
· Exchange 2003
· MCSE
· Server Hardware
Desirable:
· UNIX/ Linux administration/ ITIL experience
· Virtualisation Technologies
· Knowledge of SAN architecture
· Knowledge of SQL environments
· Microsoft Group Policies
· System Center Operations Manager ‘07

Responsibilities
* Provide server support and maintenance across all locations of the group to agreed service levels.
* Ensure that procedures for guaranteeing security, integrity and consistency of data are adhered to.
* Keep technical and system documentation up-to-date.
* Resolve user/ technical problems in conjunction with the Help Desk and other IT functions.
* Configure, install and maintain systems across the group.
* Ensure that users are satisfied with the level of IT service provided, by liaising with other staff in Technology, Applications or Change * Management areas or by providing the service yourself.
