<b><u>In Brief </ b></ u>

This company is one of the UK's leading Construction, Civil Engineering and Property Services companies with expertise in delivering projects for their clients in affordable housing, civic buildings & amenities, commercial property, education, health care and transport; which includes airports, highways and rail. They were founded in 1960 this family owned contractor now require a Planner Engineer/ Senior Planning Engineer for their Construction projects based in Exeter.


<b><u>The Role of Planning Engineer</ b></ u>

This prestigious Construction contractor is looking for a Planning Engineer to work on a new construction project in Exeter. The purpose of the role is to assist the Senior or Planning Manager on the construction project and assisting the preparation of tender and contract programmes, monitoring progress, updating programmes and progress reporting.

<b>Duties will include:</ b>

- Completion of monthly reporting dashboard and preparation of documentation required for Formal Management Meeting to tight time lines and changing requirements to reflect the requirements of the programme.
- Production of financial reporting information for both project and corporate budgets, production of the budget tracking documentation (‘Blue Sheet'), generation of variance analysis and submission of accruals data.
- Contract Management and administration.

<b>Key attributes:</ b>

As a Planning Engineer you will be to have a Blue Chip Contractor background working in Construction with a minimum of 3 years experience as a Planning Engineer working preferably in Exeter; some local area knowledge would be an advantage.


<b><u>The Successful Candidate</ b></ u>

To be successful in this role you will be an experienced Planning Engineer and will need to posses the following experience:

- Construction experience within a Blue Chip Contractor
- Experience as a practising Planner with preferably an engineering background
- Measured and well organised approach
- Confident communication, both in writing and in internal and external presentations
- Sound understanding of both ICE and ECC form of contracts
- Confident handler with P3e, Power Project, MS Project and Primavera
- Established user of AutoCad
- Competent user of Ms Word, Excel and Power Point

- Basic salary of up to £45,000 per annum (Dependant on experience)
