My client has positioned itself at the forefront of Fixed Income Electronic Trading globally. There is currently a push to expand the European Application Support team and there is an opening for a technologist with strong interpersonal skills to join the London office, in a friendly, sociable but fast-paced environment.
The ideal candidate will have experience of the following:
- Application support of a real time trading or trading like system involving multiple communicating processes on multiple machine interacting with Oracle and SQL Server RDBMS
- Basic Unix System Administration
- Solaris
- Perl scripting
- Basic Windows Server Administration (Windows 2000 & 2003)
- Previous end-user exposure to various RDBMS
- SQL and PL/ SQL querying
- Basic understanding of Tibco RV & JMS messaging desirable
Finance experience is NOT necessarily required and this would be a very good opportunity for the suitably talented and motivated individual to crack into the lucrative and cutting-edge world of finance IT!!!
