Electro-Optic Systems Engineer
Our client is a world leading, multi-national designer and manufacturer of military missile systems. Our client is seeking an Electro-Optic Systems Engineer to undertake a full range of EO Systems engineering activities (Mainly Infra Red band) within the electro-optical skill area, supplying specialist advice and support across the department and projects as appropriate.
Electro-Optic Systems Engineer responsibilities:
+ Design and development of EO Systems solutions to time and budget
+ Provide EO Systems support to mainstream Projects and contract work
+ Undertake EO Systems work in support of IRAD
+ Write software as necessary (Excel, VB, Mathcad, MATLAB etc)
+ Run existing specialist EO software and models used in the Dept
+ Undertake testing of hardware in labs or in the field
Electro-Optic Systems Engineer experience required:
+ Basic Programming skills (1 or more of the following: - C++, Excel, Visual Basic, Mathcad, MATLAB)
+ Able to work from first principles
+ Awareness/ experience of passive and/ or active electro-optic systems and technologies
+ Good working experiences in more than one phase of the engineering life cycle
+ Design Experience of Optical Systems and/ or passive EO Sensor Design are Highly Desirable
The all hours pay rate for the position is £24.50-30.40
Candidate must have or be able to gain UK SC security clearance
