I have a role which is an immediate start for the right candidate.
You will have a thorough knowledge of Prince 2 and ITIL process, have sound working experience of Programme management, Quality Management, Risk and issue management plus able to employ Business process improvement techniques.
Your work activities will include:
To take full accountability for delivery of medium to large work packages to time, cost, scope and quality criteria. And manages a programme of work packages across one or more areas.
Co-ordinates and manages all activities and resources needed for work package delivery. Ensuring that comprehensive work package, quality and risk plans are maintained. Identifies, assesses and manages risks and issues, work package interdependencies across multiple functions and only escalating where necessary.
Ensures that estimates of costs, timescales, quality and resource requirements are agreed and carries out the monitoring of work packages against these criteria (within tolerance), managing exceptions as necessary. Carrying out impact analysis to provide options to resolve issues and effectively managing stakeholders.
Builds and maintains functionally strong work package delivery teams with other Delivery Leads across applications, infrastructure, testing and key resources and skills elsewhere in GIS as required for successful work package delivery
Actively uses the BCF / GIS process, ensuring that realistic work package and quality plans are prepared and maintained. Also effectively controls and tracks all activities against each plan, providing regular and accurate reports to management and stakeholders and makes improvements to the process.
Maintains open and facilitative relationships with BCF PMs and BAs and other business resources as needed to ensure successful GIS work package delivery. Also within GIS with ATM's, Solution Managers and PMO.
Follows defined resourcing processes, builds and manages the work package team and provides effective leadership to the work package team ensuring that team members are fully engaged, effective, motivated and developing their skills and experience. Provides support to team members assisting them with any issues around delivery and the processes.
Uses appropriate quality assurance processes to ensure that systems development work packages are carried out in accordance with the organisation's agreed standards, methods and procedures.
Ensures that own work packages are effectively handed over into operations, formally closed and subsequently reviewed, and that lessons learned are captured and actioned. Produces appropriate documentation to support these processes.
Acts a mentor to, and effectively coaches more junior Delivery Leads.
Manages pre-feasibility and feasibility
