My client, a leading Investment Bank require a Windows Server Engineer to join their global organisation.
Skills/ Experience (required):
Windows 2000/ 2003 server implementation and administration; Active Directory configuration and administration; VMware; HP Proliant, IBM and HP blade hardware; TCP/ IP, DHCP, WINS and DNS; Microsoft Cluster Services; MS terminal Server; Anti-virus; Proven experience in a large banking environment working in a server/ infrastructure role.
Responsibilities (will include but not be limited to):
To assist in the design, testing and implementation stages of Windows projects; Suggest and implement technical solutions that ensures control, manageability and integrity of the environment to maximise service availability to the users; BAU Support (3rd line): To provide a point of contact for dealing with and resolving complex faults and issues; Resolution of server-related faults within target performance levels; Pro-active reduction of volume and type of faults using root cause analysis methodologies; Successful implementation of all server-based change requests within agreed lead times.
