UNIX Solaris Engineer Leeds £21-26.5k
UNIX Solaris Linux. My client, a world leader in their field is now looking for a UNIX Engineer to join their rapidly expanding team. The ideal candidate will have had proven experience with Solaris as well as having knowledge of Linux (the majority of the servers are Solaris).
As the UNIX Support Engineer, you will be responsible for advising customers and colleagues on technical issues, diagnosing and repairing faults and actively isolating threats.
With a degree (or equivalent) and ideally industry recognized training, you should be an expert in Sun Solaris 8 and 10. Additional technical knowledge of a variety of networking protocols (TCP/ IP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, ICMP, SMTP, DNS, ARP) would be highly advantageous for this role.
