Our client a market leader in its field require an additional Developer to join their development teams in Leyland, Lancashire area.
Core remit for the role will involve being responsible for developing and supporting their core systems in VB6 and SQL Server. Developing applications in VB, maintenance of the VB6 reports application, performing various ad hoc management data extracts from SQL Server databases and development of the core VB6 application on an as needs basis. There will also opportunities to use VB.Net on a adhoc basis with some small projects and components. You will also gain exposure to AJAX, ASP, JavaScript, Crystal Reports and SQL Reporting Services.
You must be an experienced Developer/ Programmer with strong experience of Visual Basic 6 including supporting and developing VB - SQL Server applications. Knowledge of SQL Server 2000 including stored procedures and T -SQL is also desirable.
