Business Systems Developer
Our client is a leading international provider of advanced covert tracking and location systems to Governments and their agencies allowing vital intelligence to be gathered to support their operations in combating terrorism and organised crime. They are seeking a Business Systems Developer to be involved in all aspects of support and development of the Epicor Vantage ERP manufacturing system running on MS SQL 2005 and maintain and update all existing Crystal reports as well as development of new complex reports.
Business Systems Developer responsibilities:
+ Setup, configuration and management of MS SQL 2000/ 2005 databases (involved in all aspects of support and development of the Epicor Vantage ERP manufacturing system)
+ Maintain and update all existing Crystal reports as well as development of
new complex reports
+ Fully validate the output of new reports to ensure there are no errors in the
user release version
+ Implementing ERP system modules
+ Customisation of screens to suit departments' needs and provide enhancement of the standard product
Business Systems Developer experience required:
+ Sufficient experience in a similar role
+ Outstanding technical knowledge of database creation, maintenance & manipulation
+ In depth knowledge of MS Access and Excel including ODBC connectivity
+ Good understanding of ERP within a manufacturing environment, ideally electronics
+ Knowledge of bar coding hardware interfacing and generation of bar coded manufacturing
documentation using Crystal reports
+ Well versed in Crystal Reports XI
+ Experience with Epicor Vantage is preferable (particularly Version 8.03.400)
+ Knowledge and experience of .NET programming language, Progress
scripting (not essential) and query syntax
A salary of £30-35,000 is accompanied by a competitive benefits package.
