My client, a leading Investment Bank in the City, is looking to recruit a Network Engineer to join a team of highly skilled engineers, in order to ensure the steady growth of their network department.
Skills / Experience required:
Proven experience working as a Network Engineer (preferably within the financial sector);
Excellent network configuration, installation and analysis skills;
Solid understanding of Cisco routing/ switching technologies; OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP; Good knowledge of Firewall technologies (Checkpoint Nokia); Any Cisco network qualifications will be highly beneficial (preferably CCNP or higher).
Responsibilities will include:
Drawing up new network designs and deploying network upgrades into the existing network infrastructure (including external connectivity); troubleshooting and configuring any network/ network security issues that arise; acting as a last point of escalation for network operations; and more. Some on-call and weekend work will be involved.
