A dynamic up and coming entrepreneurial online business due to huge success require a Systems Administrator to join their ever expanding organisation. Reporting to the Head of IT you will be responsible for contributing proactively to the successful support and management of the Solaris infrastructure. Ideally you will be a Systems Administrator with a strong understanding of supporting a growing production environment – supporting multiple versions of UNIX and understand the roadmap for the future of Solaris.
Responsibilities
•Day to day support and maintenance of GD Sun Solaris 10 environment
•Provide support to the Developers and the DBA
•Performance monitoring and optimisation
•Optimisation and administration of Apache platform
•Writing troubleshooting documents
•Release management of websites
Experience of supporting Solaris within an online environment with proven experience of release methodologies and best working practises would be highly desired. Knowledge of PHP and the Zend suite would also be highly sort after.
