We are currently looking for hands on Unix Engineers to start a contract in Gloucestershire asap. As part of the role you will be involved in architectural design and development activities. You will have experience in developing, running and maintaining Unix / Linux infrastructures. You must have specialist knowledge in the following platforms; HP-UX, Solaris, and Linux. The role requires security clearance to DV level. The successful candidate will need in-depth knowledge and experience of the the following; Installation and Customisation, Systems administration, Patch management and Software installation.Ideally you will also have exposure to Clustering, Disk management (SAN), Tuning, Upgrade management, TCP/ IP, DHCP, DNS, NIS, NFS, Service management tools, Shell scripting, Perl and C Code.
