ANOTHER NEW HPC / Parallel SuperComputing role paying to ~ £44,000pa + a great Package of pension & benefits, based nr BRISTOL this is a SUPERB role for a HPC Developer.

Whilst U may be from a FORTRAN background previously, this role 'hinges' on expensive experience in C (ideally experience in C & LINUX (esp' Red Hat 3, Red Hat 4 or RHEL) or possibly in UPC (Unified Parallel C)).

U must also have good skills with some of the following:

Floating Point, VLIW, Vector Processing, SIMD, MIMD Architectures, Parallel Processing (MPP / SMP / HPC Clusters / GRID Supercomputers), Sparse Matrix, Matrix Arithmetic, Systolic Arrays, Cache Consistency / Cache Coherence, Cache Snooping, Data Snooping, IEEE 754, Allocatable Arrays, Pointers, HPF, Memory Latency Hiding, MPI1, MPI1.1, MPI2 (MPI 1 / MPI 2)..

There's loads more.. If U already know what ANY of them are then U really SHOULD be giving a call...

This is obviously a very specialised sort of Programming & U will be writing 'C' Software Modules / Code Components which will form part of a main Application Suite OR core sections of a HPC Operating System OR Diagnostics Infrastructure

Extensive C Library used & on completion of each Project, U will be involved in testing for compatibility

U need 011 more things:

000. Inter-personal skills

001. Degree in a relevant subject (& poss MSc or PhD)

010. Commercial experience (OR EXTENDED Academic HPC experience) of ANY Linux (in C)

011. Good BINARY arithmetic skills.!
