Top Tier Investment Bank seeks high level Web Support Specialist to join their London based team.
You will join the team responsible for the definition, implementation and support of an efficient, reliable and secure web services infrastructure to provide a platform for all Internet, intranet and extranet activity.
The specialist Web team will work in conjunction with other support teams (Unix, DBA, Network, etc) to deliver services to the clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing third line support in web service management.
- Liaise with Infrastructure Application Engineering, development teams, users and other infrastructure teams to provide solutions for the development of web applications.
- Installation, monitoring and support of NT and UNIX web server builds and web proxy infrastructure.
- Performance Tuning / Troubleshooting
- Automation of administrative tasks.
- Liaise with application developers, roll out applications to both QA and Production environments.
- Debug JSP, HTML, ASP, and .NET pages and associated CGI programs/ scripts.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
- Web server (farm) administration skills: IIS5/ 6/ 7
- 3rd line support Change/ Incident/ Problem management (ITIL, etc.).
- Windows 2000/ 2003 administration skills
- In depth knowledge of TCP/ IP and HTTP protocols
- Analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving skills
- Scripting/ programming (C#,.Net,VB, Java, Perl)
- J2EE Application server experience (specifically Weblogic Server version 8, 9, 10)
- Degree held in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering.
- Experience of Investment Banking or similar financial services environment/ web services.
- Sharepoint 2003/ 2007administration
- Sun (Iplanet/ Java System) Web Server
- Interwoven OpenDeploy/ Teamsite
- Firewall/ Web/ Security principles
