Our customer requires a SC cleared Network Engineer to work on a 6 month contract in Wiltshire.
The Network engineering role is focused on designing and implementing the network infrastructure required to support the data centre server infrastructure. This will be a combination of Cisco, SUN and HP Hardware, configured in high availability and multi site disaster recover configuration.
You will work as part of a team, alongside a number of other network engineers who have extensive knowledge of the existing infrastructure, and the security standards that must be satisfied.
The role will require travel to a number of sites in the south coast area of England.
Duties and tasks of the role:
Demonstrable experience of solution design, equipment specification and implementation, and technical documentation.
Ability to work unsupervised and take the lead to consult with colleagues and industry experts
CCNA, as minimum
SUN systems
SAN storage
Cisco firewalls
HP Blade servers
Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to 10 weeks.
