We are looking for a graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering or similar to work as a trainee technical recruitment consultant for Enterprise Recruitment – that means you will use your technical skills gained at university to find Graduate software engineers and experienced software engineers a job in the electronics and engineering sectors.
The rewards are excellent – I joined as a computer science graduate straight from University, learnt the ropes for 6 months and made £50k in the following year. I’ve been on 2 skiing weekends and 3 European city breaks (Dublin, Brussels and Amsterdam) and countless company meals all paid for when the company meets its monthly target. The drawback is that the job isn’t as easy as people think – qualities you’ll need: excellent verbal communication skills, self motivation, competitiveness, ambition, a hunger for success, confidence, efficiency and a team spirit. You’ll also need to take the rough with the smooth – there will be people that mess you around, you won’t makes stacks of cash in your first year (i.e. you need to be in it for the long term) and you’ll have to do your own administration (writing and posting adverts, putting candidate details on the database etc.
