Location: St Albans, Hertfordshire.

Suitable software engineers will be highly motivated, able to work under pressure and happy to work in a team or alone. The company have a European development team and as a result travel to Germany, France or other countries may be required (not frequently or for long periods though).

The software engineers tasks will be: Design and implementation of new C# applications, maintenance of current applications, on-site testing of applications and liaison with pharmacy IT system suppliers. Technical experience of the software engineer should include: Object Oriented Design and development skills (UML), C# language and Web development (Web 2.0 / Ajax) SQL Database design (ideally Firebird). Also of interest - TCP/ IP and serial communications, Delphi language (legacy apps), Microcontroller/ assembler programming knowledge, Electronic engineering knowledge, French or Spanish language skills.

Those key skills again – Software engineer with Object Orientated design, C# ideal but may consider Delphi, C++ or Java, Web development (web 2.0, Ajax), SQL, Databases.
