My client is a leading European investment bank seeking strong Oracle developers to join a team in their FRONT OFFICE COMMODITIES business area. The area is one of the fastest growing business areas in the bank and they are currently undergoing a major renovation project to migrate their Database architecture from a Sybase to Oracle database.
You will be involved in Oracle development and will be expected to work closely with the Front Office and with other IT teams to perform your duties. Banking experience is not necessary, but you will be expected to have an interest in learning about commodities trading and will be expected to pick up knowledge of the business.
Applicants should have strong ORACLE, PL/ SQL design and development skills with experience of Sybase SQL useful. Other systems in the area are developed in .NET technologies (ASP.NET, C#/ .NET), so experience of developing web based systems in .NET is highly useful. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Oracle developer to join a leading Front Office banking team.
