Our client is a world leader in the design and manufacture of a broad range of customised RF, microwave and millimetre wave components and subsystems for wireless communication equipment, electronic defence systems, and point-to-point communication systems. Our client is seeking a Senior Systems/ RF Engineer to provide design expertise and engineering team leadership.
Senior Systems/ RF Engineer responsibilities:
+ Undertake technical definition & detailed planning of specific product development projects in conjunction with the Project staff throughout the project lifecycle
+ Ensure that the product requirement is completely captured, planned as a series of engineering tasks and effectively communicated to the Engineering Project Teams
+ Perform detailed design from system to component level
+ Responsible for the achievement of the requirements, including cost objectives, of each product development project as detailed within the Customer order documents
+ Maintain visibility of the design approach and ensure through review that the implemented design will meet the product requirement
+ To facilitate and encourage appropriate technical discussion and broad communication of new ideas
+ Work with Sales & Marketing to support customer visits and provide product expertise
Senior Systems/ RF Engineer experience required:
+ Significant experience leading multi-functional engineering teams in the design of complex RF and digitally based systems and sub-systems used within the Defence, Communications or Aerospace Industry
+ Track record of creativity and innovation
+ Detailed knowledge of active and passive RF and microwave technology, including amplifier, mixer, oscillator and filter-type technologies
+ An ability to analyse and diagnose technical problems and identify appropriate solutions
+ Proven ability to integrate a series of RF and electronic modules to form a RF system
+ Able to show commercial awareness and to interact with customers and suppliers
A salary of £30,000 is accompanied by a competitive benefits package
