The company are looking for embedded software engineers with excellent C or C++ and sound knowledge of at least one RTOS. They will also consider a graduate or junior embedded software engineer with excellent qualifications and some relevant skills.

Position: Senior Embedded Software Engineer and Graduate embedded software engineer.
Location: Towcester, Northants.
Salary: £30-45k.

The R&D team is a 25 strong mix of Hardware Engineers and Embedded Software Engineers, headed up by section managers with around half a dozen embedded software engineers per section. Promotion or sideways movement into other roles (and possibly other countries) is a strong possibility for the right candidates within time. The positions are for embedded software engineers with experience in a dynamic environment where high quality code is valued. Strong C skills and RTOS experience are essential, assembler may be useful.

The ideal candidate would also bring along experience of writing device drivers, testing / debugging real time systems, protocols, boot firmware, Embedded Linux / Linux kernels / Linux drivers, OS porting, VxWorks, LynxOS or Integrity. I know this sounds like a lot but the company have a number of positions and basically recruit good embedded software engineers and match them with projects that suit.
