Ideal entry level role for a recent graduate software engineer (or graduate electronics engineer) to kick start a technical career in the lucrative processor development industry. Suited to a graduate with a mix of software development experience and some hardware knowledge, the role will involve developing software simulations of 3D graphics and Audio processors using C++ on Linux / Unix. Good C++ skills essential, training provided in other areas.

Position: Graduate Software Engineer/ Electronics graduate.
Location: Surrey.

We would like to hear from graduate software engineers and graduate electronic engineers looking for their first or second job who have completed a degree such as Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering or another numerical degree with a sound knowledge of C++ and an understanding of digital electronics.

Experience on Unix or Linux is ideal but the manager is also happy to consider graduate software engineers with mainly Windows or other OS’s. Qualities he’ll be looking for in graduate software engineers include the ability to pick up programming and general technologies quickly, eagerness to learn, examples of programming projects in the CV, evidence of good academic qualifications inc A levels and degree.

Any of the following will help your application – Linux, Unix, 3D Graphics, OpenGL, Strong Mathematics, Digital Design, Embedded Systems, assembler, DSP, Video Processors, modelling, simulation.

Those key skills again: Graduate Software Engineer (or Graduate Electronics Engineer) C++, electronics ideally with Unix / Linux, fault finding skills, interest in graphics.
