Due to continued growth and an ever expanding user base, we require a trainee DBA to join the team.
1) Working under a Database Administrator, install SQL Server, create simple databases and administer databases. These databases will be required on many of the key servers. These databases must be built to meet the operational needs of the client and achieve a monthly uptime for each database of 99.5% as measured over a monthly period. Change Control Techniques must be used to minimise downtime due to maintenance or service failure. This will require a thorough understanding of all of the techniques and systems described in the Skills and Knowledge section below.
2) Be part of the disaster recovery team which is responsible for restoring the network in the event of a loss.
3) Complete the daily health checks performed by the databases team
Essential:
1. 1 years experience of working with databases
2. Experience of working with SQL, ideally 2005 and beyond.
