Semiconductor start-up developing cutting-edge wireless products requires an RF IC Design Engineer. Tasks include, Chip Level base band and/ or RF circuit design, simulation and verification, Design of dividers, buffers, bandgaps, amplifiers, filters, etc, Designing lower level system blocks against an existing specification,

Our client is a very well funded fabless semiconductor start-up developing cutting-edge wireless products. They have already assembled a world-class management team boasting a track record of successful start-ups and the bringing of commercially successful products to market.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a progressive company with on-going opportunities for talented RF IC Engineers. Working within a team designing challenging Analog and Mixed Signal ICs in deep submicron CMOS you will be involved in taking complete designs through to tape out.

Tasks will include:

· Chip Level base band and/ or RF circuit design, simulation and verification.
· Design of dividers, buffers, bandgaps, amplifiers, filters, etc.
· Designing lower level system blocks against an existing specification.
· Working with other design engineers to ensure block works correctly in the higher level system.

Experience required in the use of CAD tools such as Cadence/ Mentor design, simulation, layout and verification environments, simulation and layout parasitic extraction. Proven design experience in RF and/ or wideband analog circuits is essential. Desirable skills include experience of layout and DFT, familiarity with 130nm or smaller CMOS processes, RF wireless or high bandwidth wired communications and additional tool knowledge such as Verilog A, Hspice, Matlab/ Mathcad, HFSS.

Good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team essential.
