Our client seeks a solid Technical Architect who has: Deep knowledge of J2EE applications from both a development and architecture perspective; Understanding of a 3 tier application and how these are hosted in a shared hosting environment controlled by firewalls; Experience providing design deliverables to support the development releases of a major application; Experience working with applications that are financially sensitive (Sarbanes Oxley); Be able to deliver presentations to audiences of IT or Business people about the changes to be made; Experience of solution architecture for the design, development, testing and support of of large scale object orientated enterprise applications; Experience with SQL programming, preferably with Oracle 9i; Java programming experience (preferably SUN certified) working in large development teams; Knowledge and experience working with WSAD5.1 and RAD7 including the ability to coach and guide others with these tools; Extensive experience of using and creating UML; Experience of following a structured systems development lifecycle (SDM or equivalent) in the full project lifecycle for enterprise class systems; Knowledge and experience of Disaster Recovery practices such as clustering, disk mirroring, failover etc. Including implementation of these methods; Knowledge and experience of Unix and Linux operating systems as a basis for applications; Strong analysis/ diagnostic skills to facilitate application issue identification and resolution.
