My client are a successful business in their sector with an international presence. They currently have a requirement for a senior Technical Infrastructure Analyst to join their team on a permanent basis to work within their Infrastructure team offering 3rd line support.
This role will see you reporting directly to the Infrastructure Manager.
• Ensuring that all the servers are operating at peak efficiency, and reliability.
• Troubleshooting network problems and bottlenecks.
• Design, testing, and implementation of projects as required.
• Technical mentoring of the less experienced IT support staff.
• Second and third line support call handling, and occasional front line support when necessary.
• Helping to ensure that the IT team meets all it SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) with the users.
• Assisting in various other ad-hoc projects and IT related tasks
• Promoting and maintaining a high professional standard of service to all our users
• Technical documentation
• Ensuring compliance to ISO standards such as ISO27001 and ISO20000
• Occasional site visits around the U.K
You will have a high level of experience with:
• Excellent TCP/ IP and Cisco network troubleshooting
• Netapp Filer experience or similar consolidated storage.
• Excellent Windows 2003 Server and Microsoft operating systems
You will have a medium level of knowledge with the following:
• MS Office 2003 and deployment strategies
• MS SQL server 7.5/ 2000/ 2005
• Lotus Notes and Domino 6.X, 7.X
• CISCO routers and switches
• Citrix Presentation Server V4 and Windows Terminal Server 2003
• HP Desktops and Blade Servers
• HP/ Toshiba Printers / Multi-function units
• Windows XP and Vista
• VMWARE 3.0
• Wyse Thin Client Terminals
• WIN CE.NET 5.0
• HP Insight Manager
• ITIL Standards
