Our client is looking for an additional customer facing IBM eServer Technical Consultant with pre-sales skills who can help them take advantage of existing & future opportunities within their extensive client base. The role will involve Presales, delivery and consulting in all aspects of the OS400 arena, based on IBM eServer and iSeries platforms - carrying out chargeable technical consultancy, implementation and support activities in accordance with quality procedures, undertaking assignments individually or as part of a team in supporting; and the implementation of projects and their integration with client systems and processes. To qualify we would expect the successful candidate to have an excellent IBM eServer product knowledge to include being able demonstrate a strong knowledge of the latest two versions of OS400; i5 Licensed programs, particularly BRMS, LPAR/ HMC, and performance analysis & capacity planning, with a working knowledge of Linux SuSe and Red Hat. This position will be based at our client's Cheshire office with UK wide coverage so you must be prepared to travel as required.
