SQL developer/ Support developer to work for leading defence consultancy within Security cleared environment. As Systems Developer / Support Developer you will be able to undergo Security clearance. Candidates with UK passports will be able to start immediately and get BC clearance.
As Pl/ SQL Developer/ Support developer you will:
+ Produce detailed estimates and technical design specifications.
+ Construct/ modify software in accordance with detailed technical design specifications and GAD QMS procedures.
+ Produce test specifications.
+ Execute unit tests and document outcomes.
+ Investigate reported errors, identify cause and resolve problem (Vantive).
+ Liaise with customers as required to resolve technical issues.
+ Provide regular progress reports to line management in accordance with agreed procedures.
As support Developer you will have :
+ Programming experience using SQL, PL/ SQL.
+ Experience of the full system development lifecycle.
+ Excellent analytical skills.
+ Able to work from and write high standard technical documentation.
In addition the following skills/ knowledge would be advantageous:
+ Experience of working in a Data Migration environment.
+ Experience of working in an Oracle environment.
+ Experience of following CM procedures and use of Dimensions.
+ An understanding of the Armed Forces Pay & Personnel or Pensions systems.
+ Experience of development and/ or maintenance of Windows based Applications.
+ VB.net, ASP.net, SQL, PL/ SQL, UML, XML and Access.
+ VB6, C#, JAVA, Unique, Compendia, Crystal Reports, is desirable.
+ Designing software solutions using Object techniques, is desirable.
+ Knowledge of interface development, is desirable.
+ Working knowledge of MS Office and Outlook.
+ Experience of industry standard Quality Management System (QMS).
