Electrical Design Engineer (Manufacturing)

Are you an electrical design engineer looking to develop your skills in a varied and technical role with a world wide supplier that value their engineers?
The company specialise in design and manufacture of components for the marine, automotive and rail industries. With 2 sites in the UK they turnover more than £10 million. Established over 180 years the company holds the number one position in their market and offers a stable future to their 100 staff. Due to increasing workload there is the opportunity to join the company as an electrical/ mechanical design engineer.
Designing the entire product you will design both electrical and mechanical systems and components, and following these designs through manufacturing right the way to commissioning with the client. You will receive full introductory training and mentoring, allowing you to develop both your mechanical and electrical design skills, as well as project management.
This role would suit an electrical design engineer looking to work in a varied role with interesting products where you can develop your design skills.
The Role:
* Designing and remodifying designs electrically and mechanically for bespoke products and systems.
* Handling 6-7 design projects at any one time.
* Following the design through to manufacture, problem solving any technical issues.
* Some on site commissioning.
The Person:
* Must be fully proficient in AutoCAD 2D.
* Electrical design skills (complete systems).
* Mechanical design experience.
* Solid works 3D experience and PLC design (writing program) would be an advantage.
