A Java E-Commerce Development Lead
Description
The successful candidate will lead a team of highly motivated people in the FXMM IT department within the bank. The team designs, delivers and maintains state of the art e-commerce solutions for our clients. The role holder will be responsible for:
• Building reliable and extensible systems for current and future production requirements
• Working with the teams of different settlement systems to design and build interfaces
• Coordinating the development task, managing the development team and interacting with Project Management and main Business stakeholders
Requirements
To be effective in this role the candidate must have the following skills and qualifications:
• Strong JAVA / J2EE / Struts and Oracle Skills (Minimum 3 years experience)
• Have experience in e-commerce projects in the financial services industry
• Good knowledge in OOA/ OOD
• Excellent knowledge of e-commerce architectures
• Strong experience with WebSphere application server and messaging middleware (WebSphere MQ and Tibco EMS)
• Experience in working with Oracle
• Knowledge of Ajax frameworks desired
• Investment banking experience and recent exposure to settlement systems is desirable
• 3-5 years experience in managing a small to mid-sized development team
• 3-5 years of practical experience within the financial services sector
• Knowledge of Treasury Products (FX Cash, FX Options, Money Market, Precious Metal, …)
• Understanding and exposure to settlement processes
• Experience of full project life cycle
• Project management techniques
• Bachelor's Degree or similar in Computer Science, Engineering, Science, Mathematics
The role requires an excellent command of the java programming language, design patterns and experience in building modern e-commerce applications along with leading and managing the team of developers (3 - 5).
